What is the age requirement to get a tattoo?
You must be 18 years of age to legally get tattooed in the State of New York and have a form of Government Issued ID with you (License, State ID, Passport). We do not tattoo minors regardless of parental consent! In regards to piercings, though the legal age is 16, we do require a guardian to be present and have their parental consent.

How do I book an appointment?
To book an appointment for either a tattoo or piercing, complete and submit the booking form. We try not to take bookings over the phone due to possible miscommunication. For a walk-in situation, it can be done on the phone so please feel free to give us a call. We would need a detailed description of the tattoo, measurement and photo references as well as the preferred artist if applicable and available dates when making your appointment.

How far in advance should I book? I am a traveling client.
If you are traveling we recommend booking 2 to 3 weeks in advance to secure the desired date & time. Each artist and their schedules vary so the earlier the better!

How should I prepare for my appointment?
Please shower! This makes it much easier for the artist in terms of prepping! The night before no overindulging in alcohol as it thins the blood. Refrain from exfoliating and tanning as this can cause additional unnecessary trauma to the skin.

Do you do high motion area tattoos? (Lip / Finger + Hand / Neck / Ankle + Foot)
High motion areas tend to have difficult retention. In some cases they can fade rapidly and fade entirely in extreme cases. Tattoo retention is determined by many factors like skin type, lifestyle, exposure however these areas are the most likely to need a touch up or two. We don’t recommend them for a lifelong tattoo but we will do them if you are aware of this and choose to proceed!

How do I take care of my new tattoo?
If you get Tegaderm or second skin, keep it on for 3-5 days and take it off in the shower or under running water as this will help with removing the adhesive. Once it’s off gently clean it with a non-scented antibacterial soap, we recommend Dial. Pat to dry clean, do not rub. Apply a thin layer of the A&D Ointment provided in the aftercare bag. Reapply this 3-4 times a day over the next 3-4 days. After 4-5 days you can begin to use any body lotion as long as it is free of fragrance. Over the next 2-3 weeks while it is still in the process of healing it will begin to scab and flake, this is normal. Do not pick at it as this can lift up ink underneath! Avoid direct contact with the showerhead, direct sunlight, and submerging in water (pools, baths, hot tubs, swimming.) If you work out, keep it light as excessively sweating will open up pores and push ink out which also means no saunas!
